A cold cold winter night found the pizza team out and about, so why not stop for a pizza review. This time it was the golden grain gourmet pizza at 274 Troy Road, Rensselaer. Stepped up to the counter and ordered our 1/2 cheese 1/2 chicken parm pizza. As you can see, it was a nice looking pizza pie. Now comes the fun part, we get to eat it. First to 3rd bites went quietly. as we both anticipated the others thoughts. My instincts told me, not a bad tasting pizza, I did think the dough could have cooked a minute or 2 more. The nook said, "it has a different kind of taste than what she is used to and it was a bit doughey".. She quickly transferred over to a cheese piece and was a happier diner. Not to be overly critical but I also thought the sauce was bland. Saying all that i did eat 3 pieces and that's gotta count for something..
